An Apache related note:

  Please, just forget about <Limit>...</Limit> if your porpose is to
  generally protect some pages, because Limit means that _only_ the
  given HTTP methods should be limited.  In this example HEAD request
  or maybe even PUT request still would be possible.
  In your example just write:
    require group SomeGroupName
