Hi.

You can find in the change history of the fine manual, that HEAP
tables were introduced in 3.23.0.

Note, that TEMPORARY tables are something different, although most
often you probably want to make them of type HEAP. So have a look for
the explanation of TEMPORARY within the section about the CREATE TABLE
statement.
