Subject:MySQL: CGI/DBI vs ASP/ADO - speed
View as plain text
I have been using Perl/CGI with MySQL and DBI. Now I am converting one
application to ASP using ADO. On the same server, ASP/ADO seems much
slower than Perl/CGI in querying MySQL.

I thought it might be the fault of the MyODBC driver so I converted a
portion of the database to FoxPro and the results were even slower.

Any experiences with these apparent speed differences?
