Hi,
reading the DBI perldoc i noticed it says;

         With most drivers placeholders can't be used for any
         element of a statement that would prevent the database
         server validating the statement and creating a query
         execution plan for it.

i was wondering if DBI::mysql supports this. Could i do something like

"select name, age from ?"
"select name, ?   from people"

thanks,
joe
