the syntax between mysql and access are different

sample inner join

INNER JOIN AdminCoverage ON
admincoverage_writingagents.CoverageID=AdminCoverage.CoverageID AND
LEFT JOIN AdminProducer ON
LEFT JOIN AdminProduct ON AdminCoverage.ProductID=AdminProduct.ProductID

Subject: Simple INNER JOIN problem

I am sure this problem is relatively simple but I have not been using =
mySQL very long. I am trying to execute this query (table and field =
names left correct for clarity):

SELECT DISTINCT assessdate FROM tblassessment INNER JOIN (tbldepts INNER =
JOIN (classinfo INNER JOIN tblclassassessment ON classinfo.uniqueid =3D =
tblclassassessment.classid) ON tbldepts.uniqueid =3D classinfo.deptID) =
ON tblassessment.uniqueid =3D tblclassassessment.assessmentid WHERE =
("Biology" ORDER BY tblassessment.assessdate;

This works fine in Access 2002. I am using the latest stable realse of =
mySQL under Windows XP. The error that I get returned is:

You have an error in your SQL syntax near '(tbldepts INNER JOIN =
(classinfo INNER JOIN tbl cassassessment ON classinfo.uniqu' at line 1.

Can anyone tell me if this is a limitation in mySQL or just very badly =
formed SQL?

Thanks for any help.

James M.
