Subject:Problem trying to connect to mysql server
View as plain text
Hello, I have a problem when I try to connect to mysql server after the installation under
NT, can you help me please?
I have just uncomment the row " basedir = d:/mysql/" in file my.cnf because I moved the
MySQL distribution to d:\mysql and the following message appears :

D:\MYSQL\BIN>mysqladmin version
MYSQLADMIN: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
error: 'Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)'
Check that mysqld is running on localhost and that the port is 3306.
You can check this by doing 'telnet localhost 3306'

Thank you for your help.
