If people can't find the download, do they really have any business being DB administrators... If they have no idea how to click Downloads->MySQL 3.23 -- BETA->Standard binary (tarball) distributions:Windows 95/NT (Intel) How will they know how to setup a DB, use a DB, or what a DB is for. You have to learn to use webpages before you can code interfaces to databases via the web (as I have lately seen messages about). It's too bad that this has turned from a MySQL help list to a HTML/ASP/PHP help list. You can't play a game without learning the rules... neither can you install/setup a database (worth a damn) if you don't know the conditions surrounding it. Either have a separate board for Newbies trying to make Win95/98 into IIS/ASP/DB servers, or redefine the nature of this list. It just irritates me, as a developer, to see people waste other developers time with simple... easy to answer questions. For heaven's sake (oh no, I might get another 10 emails of the stupid "Christian TV Loss" crap) people, use your brains and find things out for yourself instead of just asking. If you learn it for yourself it sticks with you better and you can apply it. Jonah H. Harris, MCSE/MCSD CEO/President NightStar Corporation
