been there. done that. got the t-shirt. :)
apache is a bit flaky under Windows 98 (on my machine it crashed
once in about every 30-40 mins), but you should be able to live
with that on a development box.
if you go with perl, you can download a complete package, including
Apache, mod_perl and Perl with all the necessary modules for web
(including DBI and DBD::mysql) from here:
