It seams a library problem,
Are you sure you're running the mysqldump.exe 5.0.24?
Don't you have the libmysql.dll library in c:\windows or c:\windows\system32 
with the version 5.0.19?

I upgraded from 5.0.19 to 5.0.24 and the MySQL dump exec now fails.  The 
error is.....

mysqldump: Error 2013: Lost connection to MySQL server during query when 
dumping table `content_resource_body_binary` at row: 18

This table has BLOB data and I ran the CHECK TABLE after the upgrade and it 
was 'OK'.

Does anyone have any ideas??
