Have you set up a system DSN or a user DSN? Did you try to test the
connection from the ODBC Data Sources Admin Tool?

There are also flags that you can use for debugging and tracing information.

Subject: ODBC(?) Problem

I've tried to use MS Access as a front end to a MySQL database using ODBC.
I've done this successfully with an Oracle database.

The problem I have is that every time I try to link to from Access to the
MySQL database, Access gets an error (error report to Microsoft type of
error) and the link fails.

My configuration is:

MyODBC mysql-connector-odbc-3.51.12-win32.msi
MySQL mysql-5.0.13-rc-win32.zip
MSAccess 2003

Have other people experienced this also. If you have, do you have possible
solutions.

Thanks.
