Embedding MySQL in C#

i've been atempting to use libmysqld via p/invoke from c# but with everything i try
mysql_server_init returns 1 everytime i compiled mysys with USE_TLS defined.

if anyone has an example of getting this working can you please show me your p/incokes and
how you call them thanks.
