Subject:Mysql will not start-error 1067
View as plain text
I got this same error and it is very odd. It was running 4.1.7 OK on
this WIN 2003 machine and wanted to upgrade so all may 3 machines had
the same version and I could replicate to this guy. It failed to start
the service on the last page of the config wizard. Error = 0.

I look in the services and there is a MYSQL there with:
"C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\bin\mysqld-nt"
--defaults-file="C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\my.ini"
MySQL41

So when I start that one I get the start error 1067 window.

Then I look in the windows event viewer there are 4 entries.

1. Changed limits: max_open_files: 2048 max_connections: 800 table_cache: 619
2. C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\bin\mysqld-nt: Got signal
11. Aborting!
3. Aborting
4. C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\bin\mysqld-nt: Shutdown complete

I installed 4.1.10 OK easily on a W2K machine just 1 hour earlier.

ANy clues?
