Subject:Install Error - _INS5176._MP.exe

Whenever I install MySQL, I get this error message at the end:

"_INS5176._MP.exe has generated error and will be closed by Windows. You
will need to restart the program. An error log is being created."

My OS is Windows 2000 (SP4).
I tried the two binaries: mysql-3.23.58-win.zip and mysql-4.0.20d-win.zip
and got the same result.

Do you have a quick fix for this?
