Subject:Suggested settings for dual processor machine?
View as plain text
I am running mySQL on a :

Dual 2gig AMD (2 processors) under Windows 2000 with 2 gigs of memory
Disk wise I am using a 7800rpm SATA (150mb/sec) drive+card (not on the OS
drive)
Can someone suggest things to change in mySQL setup to better utilize the
2gigs of memory and 2 processors...

Also I am using :

database service mysqld-nt, would it be better to use mysqld-nt-max or
another type?
database type myISAM, is this the fastest operating database? (im not using
fulltext index)

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks,
Craig
