load balanced config

Hello,
do you have a link to a clear tutorial about load balancing two database server?

By load balancing I mean just directing requests to 2 or more servers
(read/write)
keeping all of them updated (if possible in reality)

Maybe Server A write and B replicate during a write lock on both.. and
viceversa..
