I considered bakefile versions. On 2 machines I was using Bakefile 0.2.8
which I know I previously boostrap'ed from . Another I tried Bakefile 0.2.9
which I have never bootstrap'ed from but still did not work. Although with
the 0.2.8 versions I honestly cannot remember last time I actually ran
bootstrap rather than reconfig'ing after svn updates.
I regret I'll have to leave the patch fix to someone else for this - not my
area of knowledge :-)
