Thinking the problem might be a beta issue, I removed it, downloaded Visual C++ Express 2010, and only then found out that Express doesn't include 64-bit compilers. I do almost no native Windows development these days; pursuing the 64-bit issue is insufficient reason for me to go buy Visual C++ Professional. Issue closed, as far as I'm concerned. Anyone wanting MySQL++ to build in 64-bit mode under VC++ 2010 will have to pursue it on their own. That, or buy me an MSDN Professional sub. :)
