Are you saying that you've built the library separately, linked to a 
program as normal people do, and still have this namespace problem?  I 
don't see how that could be, as none of the other many VC++ 2008 users 
are complaining about this.  It's far more likely that you've done 
something wrong than that you have discovered some new, obvious bug.
