What lead you to that conclusion?  The command it gives right on the 
page you linked to is correct:

	svn co svn://svn.gna.org/svn/mysqlpp/trunk mysqlpp

If you don't have a command line version of svn installed, I've heard 
good things about the TortoiseSVN GUI.
