It is indeed huge, but I don't count that as a serious ding against it. 
  It's huge on purpose.  :)  I find that I set up Boost once on a 
development machine and then never touch it again, so its hugeness 
doesn't bother me.

My worries all stem from those who haven't gone through that initial 
setup process.  If it doubles my MySQL++ tech support burden, I have to 
ask myself whether it's a net benefit after all.
