Conversion Error

Hello,

I am attempting to read a string that has been pushed
into a mysql table column by a java application not
using the mysqlpp library. 

I see a conversion error when attempting to read a
string. When I populate the same column, I can read
the string. What would be the reasons for the
conversion errors?

I examined the columns and they match. The java
application can read the data. Using mysql.exe the
data looks fine.

Any ideas?
