Yes, I wasn't happy about having to do that, but I don't see an easy way
around it. If we don't re-generate the Makefiles within the RPM build
script, there's a danger that I will have customized them here on my
development machine and those customized ones will be distributed in the
RPMs I generate.
I welcome alternatives.

If you don't want to take it up on the Bakefile mailing list, send me
private email about your problem and I'll see if it's something I need
to take up with them on your behalf. I'm tangentially involved with the
Bakefile development effort. (By necessity...)
