I think ldconfig will only create the so.X symlinks used by applications
at runtime. You may have to create the compile-time .so link manually
('ln -s ../libmysqlclient_r.so.14.0.0 libmysqlclient_r.so'). I would
have thought that this should have been created when the mysql
development package was installed though.
