Can you build it without Eclipse, first?  Just open up a bash shell and 
do the old configure && make && make install sequence.  If that works 
and your Eclipse-process does not, you know where the problem lies.  If 
it's the other way around, please help us to debug that first.  I have 
no interest in installing and learning Eclipse just to help you get this 
going under that environment.
