Query Parsing

Hi All,
 
I have a strange requirement where in I need to sniff the binary logs continuously on a
real time basis and massage the data for insertion into a different mysql database. I was
just wondering if there is a c/c++ api/library for parsing the mysql queries... 
 
Would be grateful to get any other suggestion on this..
