As a wild guess, perhaps it has something to do with the recent changeover to stringstream from strstream-based queries? Try rolling back to 1.7.17 temporarily: http://tangentsoft.net/mysql++/releases/mysql++-1.7.17.tar.gz If the problem goes away with that change, I hope you can debug what is causing the problem, since I don't use MySQL++ with VC++.
