Agreed, the placeholder parser doesn´t support double quotes.
My personal opinion is that double quotes should not be used, because
they are non-portable to other engines. In fact, the placeholder source
is shared between DBD::mysql, DBD::mSQL and DBD::CSV. Thus I am not
interested in adding such an extension. I admit, that the problem
concerning double quotes should be added to the docs, though.
I might be convinced to add your patch, if it is common sense, that the
driver should support double quotes. What does the list think?
