i'm not entirely sure where i should send this, but i have created an improved Mac OS X startup script for MySQL 3.x and 4.x (based on the separate download with 4.0.10). my script includes both startup and shutdown functions. it can be downloaded from: http://www.oz.net/~jrd/MySQL_Daemon.pkg.sit please consider this for integration into future MySQL releases. john
