Thanks for the suggestion - I will add it to our Idea Bin. I've noticed
that mysqld already uses syslog, if you compile it with --with-libwrap to
use the TCP wrapper library. But I agree, a more general logging facility
would be a nice idea. Let's see how Monty thinks about that.
