Many Mysql Server on Same Machine : problem with mysql_setpermission

Hi,

I am Able to configure Different Mysql Server in Different port i.e 3306
(default) and 99999. and able to start mysql at different port.

But when i run  mysql_setpermission at mysql-2 server (WHICH IS RUNNING AT
PORT 99999). i get the following message...

 Can't make a connection to the mysql server.
 The error: Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: NO) at
./mysql_setpermission line 65, <STDIN> line 1.


For mysql-1 socket is
 Socket  /tmp/mysql.sock

mysql-2

   /tmp/mysql-2.sock


Can..anybody have any idea..
