That depends on what the web server does.  On my server, the CGI
script just keeps on going ... blithely unaware that it's printing
to nowhere.  I expected to get a SIGPIPE, but that's not happening
for some reason (maybe my test program is whacky).

But either way (if your program stops or keeps going) you should
be alright.  Either the Users table will be updated with the new
IP which has access rights, or it won't.  It won't be left in an
inconsistent state.
