It's ... interesting. It's like no other database system I've ever seen, and, it's hardly SQL-compliant. At least when I worked on Progress 6.0 in '98. Progress had much to gain by incorporating MySQL features and more-or-less SQL-compliant features/syntax. That's why the Progress database was possibly not good enough for NuSphere.
