One way to measure the popularity of a product, service, or event is to
search for its name on GoTo.com and see what the bids are - how much
webmasters are willing to pay for a click-through for their site to be
listed #1. I applied this test to mysql a month ago, and the result was
$0.01. Now it is $0.05 ! Here it the comparison with other databases:
Database Cost per click-through
Oracle 0.32
Informix 0.04
DB2 0.05
SQL Server 0.11
Sybase 0.15
If you want to know other, to to http://www.goto.com/ and do your own
searches.
