Subject:Auto stArt of mysql w/redhat 6.0
View as plain text
Hello. I am trying to get mysql started with the system startup but so far
I have not been able to. I also want the data directoy to be located in
another location (/u02/mysql) I have tried putting my.cnf files in a number
of places and they are never read. When mysql is started from the command
line, it starts fine (but still refuses to find the my.cnf file)

If anyone can give me some pointers I would appreciate it. I am at the
point where I would be wqilling to allow someone to telnet into the machine
to help <g>

I am also finding that none of the files are in the locations specified in
the docs. Is this a just the way RedHat created the RPM?

Thanks!
