There have been a lot of changes to support SCO. I really encourage you to move to the latest mysql-3.22.24. It compiles cleanly with either the OLD gcc from Robert Lipe or the new egcs 1.1.2 gcc. The only problem with the new gcc is noted. You need to copy one file from /usr/include/pthread to the /usr/local/.... gcc directory where it complains the file does not exist.
