That's like asking "how fast does a Ferarri go".  You need to be more
specific. The answer depends on the type of road you've got...

1) What hardware and OS do you have?
2) how fast are your disks?
3) how do you define "transaction"?
4) how many clients do you have?
5) what is your mix of inserts/updates/deletes/selects?
