There are definite issues with FreeBSD 3.2 libc_r.
The workaround that we've used is to compile a static
version of mysqld with the 3.1 libc_r. We're still
evaluating the libc_r fixes present in freebsd-current to see
if that resolves the problem. If that works, then
a freebsd-current libc_r should be nearly a drop-in
replacement in 3.2 Release.
