DBI-MySQL-Interface

My provider uses only the 'Mysql' module and DBI without a 
mysql-driver. 

If I connect via 'Mysql->Connect' everything works fine, but my 
scripts are written for the DBI module and mysql is none of the 
available drivers on the server.

Is it possible to use a driver in my local cgi directory, or does a 
wrapper class exists so that I can use the 'Mysql' module with DBI 
method names?
