Ruben,

If spam consists of continued off-topic messages to a mailing list,
then it appears to me not unwarranted to observe that the single most
frequent contributor to this off-topic discussion would be yourself.

That's true not just for the current off-topic discussion, but for the
off-topic discussion that ensues anytime anyone mentions PHP on the MySQL
mailing list, because you immediately jump up and object to any mention
of PHP, then vociferously and frequently post followups to any messages
that disagree with your point of view.  You may change your e-mail address
every couple of weeks, but it's evident that the multiple nom de plumes
originate from the same person.

It would be best for this discussion to stop NOW, on everyone's part.
If people need to fight about Perl vs. PHP, please confine the discussion
to something that relates to MySQL, or take it off list.
