Jason,

What you've gotta do is use Zeos components. I have migrated all my Delphi 5
apps using it.It's pretty straight foward. Zeos can be obtained for free and
there's also a mailing list.

Please go to URL : http://www.zeos.dn.ua/eng/index.html

and get the components!

regards,

Carlos Fernando Scheidecker Antunes.

Subject: Connecting Delphi to Mysql

Hi,

I tried connecting to mysql from delphi using a contributed unit called
libmysql.pas and it worked fine, but I now realize I can't use any of the
Datasets nor DBAware components in delphi.

I was thinking about developing a TDataset descendant for this....is that
very hard to do ?

Thanks,

Jason
