Interestingly, the FreeBSD 3 static binary (1.6) on your web site
appears not to be static. When I ran it, I got:

  /usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libmysqlclient.so.8" not found

Any chance of getting a static binary of 1.7.2 for FreeBSD?
