Subject:AUTO_INCREMENT Limits to 256 records

I would like to know if anyone has a solution to this anomaly.

I am seeting up a DB with an auto_increment field.

I have tried all of the INT Types.

It seems that when I go to load the data it will only accept 256 records.

What am I missing?
