[I'm on the digest and don't read every message, but the subject of this
one jumped out at me]

We have been running MySQL on BSDi for about three years now with
absolutely no problems (that I can remember). MySQL is used as the
backend for high profile sites like DNS Central and Lockergnome and many
other smaller sites (all running on BSDi).

Since third party application support for BSDi has been drastically
nearing non-existance, since mid-1999 all of our new servers are now
running FreeBSD and MySQL runs just fine there as well. Eventually we
will probably upgrade all of our machines to FreeBSD.
