What does "doesn't work" mean, that is, what error do you get?

You may be running on a system that uses MIT-pthreads, in which
case connections to "localhost" don't work. Try the same command,
but substitute its real host name (tochna.technion.ac.il) for
localhost, and see what happens.

By the way, it's better to use cut and paste to report the commands
you're actually using (and the error output). The commands you
show above are not what you really typed: there should be no space between
-p and the password.
