Thanks for the help Monty! My site is now running on 3.22.19a and has not
had a lockup or speed problem in two days - it's easily handling the
200,000+ queries per hour! :)

Not sure.. I was using the DBI that came with 3.21.33c. It would core
dump when it did a certain SQL SELECT query - I changed the code to use
Mysql.pm and no problems after that.
