Correction... according to the manual... you could do something like:
Auth_MySQL_Encryption_Types [Plaintext, Crypt_DES, MySQL] in the config
file from apache...
Mysql being the password() function
It should work, but I personnally still get errors with these parameters
in httpd.conf
