I just ran that program on stock FreeBSD 3.4-STABLE compiled with the
command "gcc bigfile.c", then ran it as "./a.out 4000000 bftest" and
the file it created is this:
-rw------- 1 khera wheel 4096000000 Mar 16 10:35 bftest
No special compile options or flags were necessary.
