Time Question?

I need to be able to grab fields that were inputed between a date range
from Friday to last Friday, basically a weekly range.
I have timestamp fields for all inputs that I need, so is there a way I
can say select * from tablename where timestamp = Friday - 7 days? or
weekly -- could it really be that easy?

or is there a better way?

I'll try to read the manual, its late and silly stupid.
