Hello,

Regarding core dumps on FreeBSD 3.3:

I tried mysql-3.22.27-unknown-freebsd3.2-i386.tar.gz, which is the only
3.22 contributed binary for FreeBSD. The problem persists.

I had a 3.22.26a preinstalled in my account.
To install 3.22.32, I did configure and make, and then copied the
binaries and the 'english' directory to the right locations.
The server is running chrooted, so the default directories are OK.
