Thank you for all your help, Tonu Samuel, Tim Smith & Sinisa. please
forgive me, I still have problems. I don't know why using mysql++ seems
so complicated, I usually don't have so much problems with new programs.
anyway, after I compiled and executed my programs (and also, your
example "simple1.cc"), I get an error message like this:
"error in loading shared libraries: libmysql++-1.6.so.0: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory"
I understand this is not related to the database at all, but still to
some compilation or linking issues.
please explain me what is the problem here. I searched and found out the
the file "libmysql++-1.6.so.0" exists in /usr/local/lib. it is a
symbolic link to "libmysql++-1.6.so.0.0.0". god know what are these
files purpose...
by the way, is there a FAQ page or manual that explains this issue in
details?
